SECOND COMING
The belief of the Church as recorded in the Scripture is that Christ will come again to judge the living and the dead. The Old Testament states: "For behold, the Lord will come in fire" (Isa.66:15) and : "for behold, the day comes, burning like an oven, when the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble" (Mal.4:1)
In the New Testament the second Coming of Christ to judge the world is repeatedly mentioned: "They will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory".
The truth of the Second Coming of Christ to judge the living and the dead is included in the confession of faith as in the Nicene Creed.
