VASKANIA (EVIL EYE)
Our Church recognizes "vaskania" (evil eye) believing that the "evil eye" is an eye of wickedness and envy, and as such becomes the devil's organ because he is the cause of evil.
The prayer for the "evil eye" is based on a promise that the world of satanic power is real. The Church, in its concern for MAN, prescribes prayer for any possible, hostile influence, having in mind the need for God's protective grace.
