- FEAST DAY OF
- ST. MARINA
|
When Marina's mother died at her birth, her pagan priest father had to entrust the newborn to another woman to raise her, unaware that the forest mother Was a Christian.
When Marina was 18, she encountered the Prefect of the Province and unfortunately for Marina, he fell in love with her at first sight. When he offered to marry her she politely refused saying she was Christian and it was impossible. He did not take this rejection too kindly and accused her of many crimes including treason for which she was arrested and eventually crucified.
