JUNE 29

FEAST DAY OF HOLY APOSTLES - PETER & PAUL

St. Peter traditionally is regarded as the leader of the Twelve Disciples of Jesus. After the death of Jesus, Peter sought to preserve the spiritual gift left by Jesus to his followers.

St. Paul is the greatest of missionaries. He called himself an Apostle and was the greatest of them even though he was not one of the original Twelve Disciples.

Almost half of the 27 Books of the New Testament were written by St. Paul.
