SUNDAY OF ST. THOMAS
|
The Feast of St. Thomas takes the first Sunday after Easter Sunday. Thomas was missing when Jesus visited the other disciples therefore he did not believe that Christ was truly Resurrected from the dead and demanded to see Christ's hands and His pierced side before he believed. He was called "Doubting Thomas" because of this. Although he first doubted that Christ was truly Resurrected from the dead, he did believe and became one of our Lord's most devoted Apostles.
