AMDMSR Tweaker V1.1 64 Bit
9. If the CPU is working fine, lower the Voltage and try to set it to 998. If your CPU can really handle 998, power down and try to set it. The CPU needs some time to stabilise after it is run at 998. If your CPU is not fully stable, either set 998 as a nominal voltage or reduce the CPU voltage to 950. Check the voltage in step 4 for Bios and Tweaker.
This tool aims to remove unwanted apps, run automatically before Windows loads, prevent programs trying to run when you boot, or to speed up or speed up your PC.
By default RAM Tweaker will start as soon as it is installed. However, in order to make sure that no programs will run when Windows starts you need to go to Programs & Features and disable the programs that you dont want to run
I have already tried PhenomMSRTweaker under Win 7 with an Athlon II X2 250. I didnt get any overclock on my CPU. I have the same problems that you have with microsoft updates, so it seems that I have to use AMDMSRTweaker asuming that this software isnt the same as PhenomMSRTweaker. So, I have no confidence in this software. But the authors of AMDMSRTweaker, who created this cool software, will be able to help you to install PhenomMSRTweaker if you have problems.
Because so many people without as much knowledge as you have bricked their systems I was hoping for a pretty basic step by step to arrive at that point and also just if you could shed some light on the potential to break things Same goes of the AmdMsrTweaker.
8. If you are on a 32-bit OS you have to restart your machine. If you are on a 64-bit OS restart can be skipped (On Windows you need to go to anther partition and restart). If restart was skipped you will have to re-activate RAM Tweaker. To re-activate click on it again and it will open. ec5d62056f perast
UPDATE: I updated the AMDMSRTweaker and included a new sample. You will need to install this tool on a different partition of your HDD (next to your OS and Program files) to make sure that you have a clean PC when you start Windows. I will update the thread once I have tested this for you.
AmdMsrTweaker will automatically use the CPU when the computer starts, and then limit the maximum frequency to the allowed maximum for the SoC. This will work on all desktops and laptops, with the exception of laptops with VGA output. However, on some laptops with a VGA output, you can enable the VGA BIOS, so you can boot up and adjust the CPU frequency directly from the BIOS. For example, if you press F2 at the (red) boot menu when it says “Press F2 to enter Setup/Advanced”, you should be able to change the CPU speed from there. Currently there are no plans to support this, though, so there might be complications if you have this type of laptop.
AMDMSR Tweaker is a program that is designed to make overclocking on Phenom CPUs a lot easier. With it you can set your CPU frequency, but also the TDP and P-states. If you are a regular user of your processor, you might be interested in it. This is also a very good thing, because it means that if you accidentally turn your TDP and P-state levels up too much, they’ll be back to normal automatically after you reboot. Unfortunately, the users can read that the program is Windows-only. So if the thing won’t install, you can’t install it. As for if this tool is good, well, I’ve seen a lot of good users on the Message Boards.
